🌊Exploring The Depths: Book Review of "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" by Jules Verne

Hello! Welcome to my blog.

When I first opened Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, I expected a story about adventure and submarines - but I found something much deeper. Jules Verne didn't create a voyage; he made a world where science and imagination blend perfectly, and curiosity becomes the driving force.

The moment I’m ready to explore this book.

đź“– A Quick Summary (No Spoilers)

The story follows Professor Aronnax, his assistant Conseil, and the Canadian whale hunter Ned Land.

They join a mission with the ship Abraham Lincoln to hunt a mysterious "sea monster".

But the truth behind that "sea monster" is more flexible:

The Nautilus, a futuristic submarine led by the mysterious Captain Nemo.

They explore underwater forests, coral kingdoms, ship wrecks, and secrets hidden behind the waves - all described with Jules Verne's unique blend of science and imagination.

⭐What I Loved Most
🔹Captain Nemo - The Enigma of the Ocean
Nemo is brilliant, unexpected, and unforgettable for me.
Every chapter proves that he is a mysterious character.
🔹The Nautilus - A Submarine Ahead of Its Time
When I read about the features of Nautilus, I was surprised to learn that there was an electric-powered submarine in the 1860s, decades before submarines were invented.
These technical details of the Nautilus made me feel like I was learning science. What a marvel of technology!
🔹The Underwater Worldbuilding
From glowing fish to underwater forests, the scenery is stunning.
I felt like I was diving into a whole different world, in any chapter.
🔹The Perfect Book for Curious Minds
If you love exploring different worlds or learning sciences through novels, this book will be your life!
🌍Why This Book Still Matters
Despite it being written in 1870, it's still a book for:
- explorers
- scientists
- ocean lovers
- sci-fi fans
The spirit of this book - curiosity and discovery, never gets old. Just because the ocean is full of secrets - like space.
🧭 My Final Thoughts
Reading this book felt like joining a scientific expedition. It expanded my imagination and reminded me how much of our world we still haven’t explored.

If you're a curious person (like me), this book is absolutely worth reading.

My Rating: 9.5/10
