Can Humans Live On Mars?

 Hello! Welcome to my blog.

For a long time, the question "Can humans live on Mars?" has garnered attention from many scientists and science enthusiasts. For long time ago, we humans all knew that we're not alone in this universe. And now, we have found the most possible and nearest planet that can have life - Mars. With the efforts of space organizations like NASA or SpaceX, that dream is closer to us day by day.

However, if we want to live on Mars for an extended period, we need to address many serious problems related to Mars's environment, energy, water, and even cosmic radiation. Anyway, I still believe that we can live on Mars. Today, I'll provide you with some evidence to support my opinion. Don't waste time anymore, let's get into it!

1. Already found water on Mars

One of the most important factors of life is water, and Mars has it! In fact, in 1971, when NASA launched Mariner 9 to Mars, it had already discovered traces of water on Mars.

Moreover, NASA also launched the Mars Odyssey, an exploration mission that was launched in 2001. And what is the result? It found large amounts of water ice beneath the surface of Mars, especially at Mars' poles, just like our Earth.

2. Some natural conditions similar to Earth

Although Mars has many harsh conditions, it's undeniable that this planet also has some significant similarities to Earth - that's the reason why it became the priority goal for human settlement. A day on Mars is only a little bit longer than Earth's, about 24 hours and 39 minutes! Besides, Mars also has distinct lessons and familiar terrain, such as mountains, deserts, and ice at the two poles.

Mars has natural conditions that are quite similar to those on Earth.

3. Private space colonies have plans to colonize Mars
Elon Musk's SpaceX has announced plans to send humans to Mars in the 2030s with Starship, a large rocket capable of carrying large numbers of humans. Starship is in testing.

NASA also set goals to get astronauts to Mars in the next decade, after completing the testing phases of the Artemis mission.

4. Self-propelled robots have already worked on Mars for a long time
Some self-propelled robots, such as Curiosity Rover (2012), or Perseverance (2021), have already worked effectively in the harsh conditions of Mars for years. This proves that Mars's environment is not too dangerous for humans to live in.

Conclusion
Based on the evidence I told you, from water discovery to effectively settling plans of space colonies, living on Mars is not impossible anymore. Although we still have challenges, with science and technology improvement, I believe that humans can live on Mars in ten years.

  2. Hi Phuoc! I enjoyed reading your thought-provoking article. Although I don’t really believe we‘ll be able to bring humans to mars in ten years, there‘s a huge potential in discovering other planets! I just hope it will not be used by a small group of powerful people against the humanity.

  3. Hi Phuoce, thanks for the article. I really enjoyed reading it. Although, in my opinion , earth is the only place that the creator facilitate it for living. So human will live on the Earth till the day of judgement. But it's really great to explore the space around us and be grateful for all the blessings we have on earth.
    Thanks curious boy. :)
