Hello! Welcome to my blog.
Have you ever imagined that there's a home that could turn on the light when you walk in? Does it sound like science fiction films? If you think that, you're wrong! Because they already have it! Smart homes are becoming increasingly popular day by day, thanks to their convenience. But who controls them? How do they work? I'll tell you in this blog post.

🧠What is a smart home?
A smart home is a house that uses technology appliances to control the house automatically or allow remote control via phone, tablet, or voice. By that, from lights, fans, and televisions to door locks or cameras, all can be controlled with just a touch or your voice.
🔧Main parts of a smart home
- Sensor: helps identify factors such as people's movements, lights, and the temperature.
- Central controller: It can "make suggestions" for other appliances in your house. It may be Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or a smartphone app.
- Output device: After the central controller "makes suggestions", lights, fans, and the door will follow the suggestions from the central controller.
Each appliance in the house connects to the Internet or Bluetooth. When you command by your voice, or when the house's sensors detect your movements or something, the system (or central controller) will analyze and take suitable action automatically.
E.g.
1. You walk into your room → Movement sensor detects → Send signal to the central controller → The controller commands the lights to turn on → Lights on!
2. You command: "Hey Google! Turn on the A.C. at 26 degrees Celsius." → The voice sensor detects → Send signal to the central controller → The controller commands the A.C. to turn on → So cool!
3/ 22 p.m. → The system automatically locks the doors, pulls the curtains, and turns off the lights to help sleep. (The house's system can use AI to learn the routine of people who live in the house.)
Convenient: Controls every single appliance with a smartphone or voice.
Save energy: The light turns off automatically when there aren't any people in that room.
More safely: Cameras, smart door locks, and fire alarm sensors.
Smart homes aren't sci-fi stories anymore - they've gradually become a fundamental part of modern life. With this development, in the future, maybe you'll be the person who designs and programs your own smart house!
